How to Wear a Wildbird Sling
There are different ways to carry your baby, including tummy-to-tummy and front-facing. These video tutorials are really helpful to show you all the ways you can wear your baby, including how to babywear a newborn in the sling. Once you’re wearing your baby, you’ll have to adjust the slack, so it’s comfortable for both of you.
While I do find the sling easy to use, I did have to practice putting it on when I first got it. I keep the sling threaded through the rings, so it’s ready to go when I want to carry my baby and be hands-free!
Can you use Wildbird sling for newborns?
Yes, the Wildbird sling is safe for babies from newborn to 35 lbs. I started using it when my son was a few days old.
Wildbird Modal vs. Linen
Wildbird slings modal slings are made with a fabric blend of 75% Tencel™ modal and 25% linen. They’re made from Austrian beech wood and woven in Los Angeles using low-impact dyes.
Linen slings are made from 100% natural linen. They’re pre-washed and designed to become softer with each use and wash. The slings are breathable and dyed using low-impact dyes.
What is the difference between Moby and Wildbird sling?
I’ve used both the Moby Wrap and Wildbird Sling and like them both, but did feel like the Moby Wrap takes longer to put on. It’s made from 100% hypo-allergenic cotton and intended for babies 8 to 33 lbs. The fabric is 5.5 meters or 18 ft. long, which is longer than the Wildbird Sling.
Both carriers are lightweight and comfortable and allow you to be hands-free while carrying your little one.
Wildbird offers worldwide shipping. I live in Australia, and the package took about a month to arrive.
