When it comes to styling the bump, I prefer to wear dresses, especially non-maternity styles that I can wear during and after pregnancy. I’m all about investing in pieces you can wear over and over again, and I didn’t want to splurge on something that I’ll only wear for a few months.
A quick note – Maternity activewear is a must. Your pre-pregnancy leggings will only stretch so far, and you’ll want to be as comfortable as can be when you’re working out or lounging at home.
These are some of my favorite bump-friendly non-maternity outfits I’ve been wearing during pregnancy.
Non-maternity dresses you can totally wear while pregnant

Smocked
Smocked dresses are the way to go if you want to show off your bump. This floral midi dress from PinkBlush features a smocked elastic body, and it’s available in maternity and non-maternity. Since this style is stretchy, there’s plenty of room for your growing belly. I usually wear a size Small but sized up to a Medium.
Flowy Dresses
You can’t go wrong with a flowy boho maxi dress. Most Salty Crush dresses have an elastic waistband that stretches to accommodate your growing bump. I also love all the bright and fun prints. The fabric is 100% rayon, so it’s lightweight and easy to wear on hot days.

Sweater Dresses
For an effortless look, add a sweater dress to your maternity wardrobe. They’re comfortable, stretchy and versatile. Style it with flats, and a cute hat during Spring or boots, a peacoat and your favorite beanie during the colder months.
