How Comic-Con Got Started

Comic-Con has come a long way since its inception 40 years ago. The first Comic-Con was in the basement of the US Grant Hotel and only 300 people attended. It’s exploded since then, and the spokesperson says nearly 130,000 people are expected to participate in 2010.

Every year, superheroes, villains, and other cool characters dress up and attend parties and events during Comic-Con.

Over 3,000 reporters and photographers from all over the world will be covering this event, and there’s a long list of people who are still trying to get a pass.

Last year, over 126,000 people showed up to the 4-day convention, and there are always a few surprises!

– Angelina Jolie, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and Bruce Willis are some of the celebrities said to be attending.

You never know who is going to show up or who will transform into a super-hero 🙂
