Alejandra Cerball is a journalist with a passion for travel and adventure. She is based in California and writes articles about inspiring people for HER Magazine.
Born and raised in Southern California, Alex has nearly 10 years experience working as a TV reporter, news anchor and travel host. She most recently worked as a breaking news reporter and Live desk anchor for KHON2 in Hawaii. She has also worked at Al Jazeera’s AJ+, KRON4 in San Francisco, several news stations in San Diego and KYMA in Yuma, Arizona. She started her career at KTTV in Los Angeles, after an internship at Good Day LA.
Alex is fluent in Spanish and has backpacked in South America and South East Asia. She enjoys free diving, hiking and has jumped out of a plane with the U.S. Army Golden Knights. She is PADI open water certified and has been diving in La Jolla, Hawaii, Thailand and Indonesia. Her travel stories have taken her canyoneering, mountain biking and rock climbing in Utah, the Grand Canyon, and Los Cabos.
Alex graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in both Broadcast Journalism and Psychology. She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, and previously served as the Vice President of the San Diego/Tijuana Chapter. She also mentors journalism students who are interested in pursuing careers in the industry.
In Hawaii, she volunteered for Make-A-Wish Hawaii granting wishes for children and the Institute for Human Services helping people find jobs and coaching them through the interview process.
