Haute Hostess

There is nothing like a Holiday party to get everyone in the Christmas spirit! This year I decided to throw an Ugly Sweater Soiree in my tiny little apartment. I moved some furniture around, loaded up my favorite playlist and spent a couple of minutes preparing bite size snacks for guests.

I thought planning a party on a budget might be a small challenge, but with a little creativity and some great deals I managed to pull it off! This snack was gone faster than it took to make 🙂 Toothpicks, mozzarella and tomatoes–yum yum yum!

This red velvet cake was courtesy of some sweet friends, and what’s Christmas without candy canes!

Mental note- make sure everyone knows those cinnamon sticks are just a decoration, before anyone tries to eat one.
okay…so finding an ugly sweater at a thrift store is almost impossible around this time of year. I found this shirt for $1 and I snagged the vest at a garage sale for the same price.   I sewed on the pockets from scraps I found at the fabric store.

you can’t get any more cheezy- than a group photo! Merry Christmas 🙂
