Music U.S.

The third day in the desert

By now your hair smells clean, your muscles are sore from dancing, and you probably can’t stop humming  “woo woo woo wu wu wu Barbra Streisand”

When I arrived to the show on Sunday I could feel a brief second of shade from the blistering heat.  It didn’t take long to realize, we were getting a break every time a plane with a banner would fly across the sun.   I arrived in the middle of Nas and Damien Marley’s set, and it felt like there were more people there than Friday and Saturday combined.

I had a pretty ambitious list that required me to be in a few different places at the same time.  I’m happy to say I was able to see and hear just about everything I wanted to.

Unfortunately, there was no time to hear ‘all the other kids with the pumped up kicks’, but I did see some of The National, Duran Duran and the Strokes.

The craziest day yet, I had to stand on top of a table to get this shot.

This picture does not justify what Sunday was like, I think a sea of people is the best description.

I knew I wasn’t going to miss Ratatat, Duck Sauce and Kanye… by far they were my favorite of the night.
